So another week, another day.... or is it?

I'd have liked to have started this journal entry on a high, usually by raving about cool games and stuff i have done

HOWEVER

Tis a dark tale i must now weave, a tale of despair and woe.

First of I may lose my job, where i work i had the misfortune to go in even though i felt like death warmed up and then fall asleep, yeah i know it's a ridiculous thing to do and quite frankly irresponsible.

and the loss of even 2 days worth of money a week will hit me and my finances very very hard.

second next week on the 12th novemeber i'm due to go have out around 2 - 4 wisdom teeth, this is scaring me to death

mainly cause i hate medical institutions and i have a very strong fear of needles or catching some mega bug like MRSA, and 2 because i always feel i'm gonna die, not that i have achieved much in my life, it's the whole being drugged and maybe not waking up that scares me silly

this i have also been told will hurt, not initially as i won't feel shit, but later even after they have stitched up the gums and disinfected the general area, once the drugs have worn off (and i'm hopefully awake) it's gonna hurt like hell.

this i feel will not be a pleasent experience

On a brighter note call of duty modern warfare 2 will be out next week and i am eagerly awaiting it, (provided i don't die in surgery) Will be fragging hard later on next week

Also i have found somebody i'm feeling amourous to, her name is ****** (yeah like i was gonna write it here), she's smart, funny, and fairly attractive (AWWWWW, yeah how sickening)

still i haven't had the bottle to go upto her and ask her out, why you might ask? (Well ask all you want, I'm not answering anyway, tis my business)

Oh well while i'm thinking of it on steam there's a lesser known game called TORCHLIGHT, and it fallows the Diablo format of pick a class, grab a weapon, kill demons

No Tommah you are the Demons (It's an in joke should he read this), anyway so we have 3 really usual sounding classes

THE DESTROYER, THE VANQUISHER, THE ALCHEMIST, which really equate to the diablo 1 equivs of warrior, rogue and Sorceror and that's the best thing, it plays like diablo 1 albeit in a 3d cell shaded world and it's so much better for it

it does have some diablo 2 addons like skills trees, and socketable weapons and armour, but on the whole it's pure hack and slash goodness

now for the pro's

Pro's

0 It has more than enough killing and variety to satify any diablo 3 longings
0 It has a way of not having to go back to town every 5 seconds to sell your loot, how? at
the start of the game when you create your character you are also asked to create either a cat or a dog to at as your pet, why? well your pet functions like a mercenary that attacks things, a mule for storage andddddd there's a niffy feature of sending you pet back to town to sell what's in it's inventory which depending on the dungeon level can take from 20 seconds to 3 mins, meanwhile this leaves you to carry on killing and maiming and looting and never having to travel back to town to drop off substandard loot (HURRAH) and it also brings back the cost of what it's sold back in gold which just adds back to your stock
0 the quest structure and optional quests are full of easy to find items and areas, thus you will not be trapesing around somewhere like Oh i don't know Kurast, for 3 hours and still not find what your looking for.

and now the cons

Cons

0 Only 3 classes and very little skill tree variation means it won't last long
0 Loading times on steam, even with a good pc are annoying when it comes to later in the game
0 It's not a finished product, it's still waiting for some finalisation ( still for £14.99 whada want)

I whole heartedly recommend TORCHLIGHT, for despite some of it's problems, it's a fun and well programmed game and has a lot of humour (even if some of it is a bit dark)

I give it a 4/5 and a BANE SILVER AWARD for keeping me occupied for over 9 Hours (NOT OVER 9 HOURS, NO WAY I DON'T BELIEVE IT!) (Again in joke for Tommah)
